Two Best Practices of the College

Best Practice-1

1. Title of the Practice:

· Educational, industrial, historical tours for academic advancement.

2. Objectives of the Practice

Objectives for Educational, industrial, historical tours for academic advancement.

· To enhance the knowledge of students theoretical as well as practical.

· Inculcating the spirit of entrepreneurship in students through industrial visit.

· To awaken and encourage innovation and self-employment.

· To create awareness and arouse the feeling of national pride toward our local history through historical tours.

· To pave the way for higher education through educational tours.

3. The Context

Educational, industrial, historical tours for academic advancement

The college conducts a meeting of the members of Tour Management Committee for organizing an Educational, industrial and historical tours. The members of committee discuss the objectives and outcomes of tour and select a specific place and date for tour. After the selection a particular place for tour, the committee arranges transportation facilities through tender process at lowest cost. Before going to tour, the college informs students through notice offline/online and take an parents/guardian’s concern/permission for their ward. A fix schedule of tour circulates among students and parents to proper drop off and pic up. As per committee recommendation, the minimum two faculty members (a lady/a gent) and an 4^th class employee go with students and take care to them. The faculty members take attendance three time and feedback at the end of tour. After completing tour, the faculty members properly drop the student at college campus where their parents’ pic up them. After completing the tour, the tour coordinator presents a tour report with financial details to the college Principal. On the basis of tour report and details, all the bills and vouchers put up to the DDO for making a payment to particular. The college face the security issues at the time of travelling.

4. The Practice

The college tour always organises to purpose of outdoor training and learning in which the tour organiser tries to teach the travelling ways, tricks, tour management skills, learn by fun, outdoor activities, group/team work, etc. The uniqueness of our college tour is historical, Industrial and academic learning with lots of fun.

Best Practice-2

1. Title of the Practice:

The 7 Days NSS camp.

2. Objectives for 7 Days NSS camp.

· To encourage students for social service.

· To develop a sense of community engagement.

· To motivate the students for national service.

3. The Context

The Nodal officer and the members of advisory committee decide the place and dates of NSS camp. As per scheduled and instructions received from Block level Nodal officer of NSS, the 7-day camp organizes with some fixed objectives and their outcomes. Each day's activities conduct as per fix plan. Special guest for intellectual session is invited. Rally/Nukkad Natak/Shramdaan programs are organized for public awareness. In this work, the safety and health issues of students became a challenge. Being a rural area, there is also a problem of transportation.

4. The Practice

The NSS unit of college decided to make awareness about environmental, natural and social issues among rural area and tried to serve their services on various problems of camp area and nearest villages.
